I’m not a fan of the ombre trend, but I can get on board with this type of “style.”
Even though the weather was scorching hot this weekend, I still made a big pot of chili.
It came in perfect timing, because now I feel like I’m getting sick. :(

I DO WHAT I WANT!
Last night (yes, night) I decided to try and make some pancakes. I had a box of pancake mix and blueberry flaxseeds. Instead of making the traditional pancakes with the oil and egg, I substituted with flaxseeds. The result was amazing and I couldn’t even tell it was a “healthy alternative.”
I don’t have a recipe because I eyeballed everything. Basically, I put in some pancake mix and a bit of flaxseed with water and this happened.
FYI, not much syrup will be needed. It’s awesome without it!

—If this is all it took to reach success in my first career of choice, I would’ve done this a long time ago. If you are sensing bitterness, you’re on point.
Because I’ve been so sick and tired of my self absorption about how unhappy my life is, I figured I needed to do something for the better good.
This defeats the purpose of donating and wanting to make a difference in the world, but hey, a donation is a donation. I’ll take the moral boost too. I could really use it.
At least I’m being honest.
The One Fund is still accepting donations for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
Sometimes, when you’re used to spending your daily life appearing to be strong and convincing yourself that you’re invincible, you end up believing it regardless of whatever turmoil you are enduring.
But when life turns around and smacks you in the face with the worst timing, you just have to let it go and cry.
Cry today and resume your resilience tomorrow.
Thanks to @VanessaHudgens, I am now in possession of this dress. It was definitely an impulsive buy, and I probably shouldn’t have done it… but I did. AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT!
I have been addicted to kale lately. Kale chips are my new favorite thing to make along with a nice glass of Green Juice.
Note to self: Do not consume both of these things before a big event. Running to the bathroom unexpectedly is no fun…if you know what I mean.
